Lynx Software Technologies Honored For Engineering Ingenuity with 2023 Military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards

LynxElement among top recipients in software category

San Jose, California - October 25, 2023 –

Lynx Software Technologies (Lynx), the leader in delivering solutions for the Mission Critical Edge, announced today that its LynxElement unikernel was recognized among the best software of the year in the 2023 Military + Aerospace Electronic Innovators Awards. Votes placed by the engineering community recognized Lynx as a Silver honoree.

LynxElement is the industry’s first unikernel to be POSIX compatible and available for mission-critical commercial use. Offered as part of the LYNX MOSA.ic portfolio of products, LynxElement provides increased density, better security and speed due to its small size. Since a Unikernel contains no dependencies on system functionality like external libraries, tools and other packages necessary for the application to work correctly, it is a much simpler module of software to define and characterize. This greatly simplifies system certification effects and is a key element in enabling software reuse across mission critical systems.
